Edward Hailstone (1818-1890), of Walton Hall, Wakefield, Yorkshire solicitor, churchwarden and book collector, who left his sizeable library to York Minster, though numerous books with his bookplate are recorded elsewhere e.g. (St John's College, Cambridge, with illustration).
